Terms of Service

By accessing or using BaseFrame, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you are not permitted to access or use the service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BaseFrame and apply to all users of the service.

1. Description of Service

BaseFrame is a design token management platform that enables designers and developers to generate, upload, edit, manage, and export design token sets — including W3C DTCG-compliant token structures, Figma Variables, and Style Dictionary configurations — for use in professional design and development workflows.

BaseFrame is currently under active development. The platform's features, functionality, and availability are subject to change without prior notice. Users acknowledge this ongoing development status and accept the inherent limitations it may entail.

2. Ownership of Content

All content you bring to BaseFrame — including but not limited to brand assets, uploaded token files, generated token sets, in-platform edits, and exported outputs — remains exclusively your property.

BaseFrame asserts no ownership, license, or claim of any kind over content you generate on, upload to, modify on, or export from the service. Your content is processed solely and exclusively for the purpose of delivering the service you have requested. No secondary use, transfer, or commercialization of your content by BaseFrame shall occur.

You represent and warrant that any content you submit to BaseFrame is content you are lawfully authorized to use, process, and share. You shall not submit content containing personal data of third parties, or content subject to confidentiality, non-disclosure, or similar obligations that would prohibit third-party processing.

3. Permitted Use

You are authorized to use BaseFrame for the following purposes:

• —Generating design token sets from brand assets you own or are duly authorized to use.
• —Uploading existing token files belonging to you or your organization for the purpose of management and editing.
• —Editing, refining, and organizing token sets within the platform.
• —Exporting your work in any supported format for application in your projects.
• —Distributing exported outputs to your team or clients in the ordinary course of your professional activities.

4. Prohibited Use

The following uses of BaseFrame are expressly prohibited:

• —Uploading or submitting content that violates any applicable law or infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• —Attempting to circumvent, probe, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service's security mechanisms or intended functionality.
• —Sharing account credentials with any third party or permitting unauthorized access to your account.
• —Using the service in any manner that may damage, overload, impair, or disrupt its infrastructure or availability.
• —Misrepresenting your identity or providing false information in connection with your use of the service.

5. Data and Backups

BaseFrame retains your token sets and generation history on your behalf as part of the service. Notwithstanding this, you are solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of any content you consider important. As a platform in active development, BaseFrame may encounter technical issues — including bugs or system errors — that could result in partial or total loss of stored data. BaseFrame provides no guarantee of the permanent availability, completeness, or integrity of any content stored on the platform.

You are strongly advised to export and preserve local copies of your token files on a regular basis, and particularly prior to making any significant modifications.

6. Third-Party Services

BaseFrame integrates third-party services to deliver portions of its functionality, including AI-powered processing for token generation. When you engage AI-powered features, your submitted content is transmitted to and processed by our AI provider pursuant to that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy. BaseFrame is not responsible for the data practices of third-party providers. You are encouraged to review the applicable policies of any third-party services involved in your workflow.

7. Account Termination

You may request closure of your account at any time by contacting us. BaseFrame reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate access for any user found to be in violation of these Terms, without prior notice and at our sole discretion. Upon termination, content associated with your account may be removed in accordance with our data retention practices.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

BaseFrame is provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. BaseFrame expressly disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will operate without interruption, that it will be free from errors or data loss, or that any generated or stored content will satisfy your particular requirements or remain available for any defined period. Given the platform's active development status, users may encounter bugs, incomplete features, or substantive changes to functionality at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BaseFrame and its operators, affiliates, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the service. This limitation applies without regard to the cause of action or the theory of liability asserted, and shall include, without limitation, damages arising from loss of data, loss of work product, loss of revenue, or reliance upon any generated output.

10. Changes to These Terms

BaseFrame reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time and without prior notice. Any modifications will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service following the posting of revised Terms shall constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of such changes.
